From left to right: Teri, Panda, Neerav
|
The first time I met Neerav, we went to the Washington Zoo. He
was at a total loss -- what does seeing a panda have to do with getting
into law school?
I don't know if he ever did figure it out, but over the course of the next three days he learned that I'm unorthodox, but not insane. (Seeing the cordial reception I received at the DC Law Forum helped convince him of my sanity.) |
| Neerav was admitted to SMU and Houston in short order;
then he anxiously awaited news from U of Texas. The other schools on
his list all fall into one category: non-Texas. About the time
we had given up hope, Neerav got the phone call: YES!
He called me from the side of the road, where he had wisely stopped the car. I think he said, "Oh my God! I can't believe this!" about five times in the first minute. A few days later he wrote, "Thank you sooooooooooo much, Loretta!!! Congratulations to you too!!! We did it!" |
