May 6As promised:We have a new interview. Jennifer Kott, currently at UNC Chapel Hill and previously at Tulane, in New Orleans, talks about environment as a factor in choosing law schools. We have another updated section. Thanks to employee Erika and her computer skills, we have screen shots of the LSAC registration and application service. The first half of the "Timeline" section has been updated, and the second half will be before the month is out. And a bonus:comments from admissions officers on my May 1 "Tired of Waiting" post. "You deliver quite a bang for the buck. I learn more reading your site than anywhere else. Thanks for the update!" "I think it's funny that applicants think a law school can seriously bind them to attend." "Very interesting. I think we are in for a very lousy -- and active -- summer." "I did not think schools made students sign saying they would get off wait lists. That seems to me a clear violation of the statement of good admissions practices." and my personal favorite: "I am so so happy that you used the Kinks as your song. I would have been sad had it been anything else."
If anything really interesting happens in May, I might be back. But I'm promising to return by June 1 to tell you all about my attendance at the NAPLA-SAPLA conference June 8-12, my stay in Philly, June 13-16, and my attendance at the DC Forum on June 19.
