The Big Day!

Today is one of the biggest days in the law school admissions world: the day the overlap report comes out. A number of law schools will use this report to fine-tune their class this week. Many of them may choose to take a higher-than-usual number of transfers rather than take more one Ls.

Regardless of the overlap report, the transfer game becomes bigger and more important every year. In fact, rumor has it that UConn is looking for a larger number of transfers than it has in previous years. So if you're looking for a well-ranked school with good job potential in the Boston and New York markets, you might want to send an app their way.

New Thoughts on Campuses

At the end of my recent Great Plains tour, I realized that my favorite campuses all had the same thing in common: they are large, suburban-feeling campuses within an urban environment. As soon as I finished writing up the tour, I put those thoughts into words. The "Choosing Law Schools: Facilities" section has now been updated to include a section on formerly suburban law schools, complete with a list. Follow the link above to see the whole section, or click here to go directly to the new list.
