Visiting Law SchoolsI had a client accepted at Yale and Harvard who chose the latter because Yale was renovating the law library that year. It was gutted, creating an incredible amount of inconvenience to the students. Since the renovation was completed, Yale has become beautiful again. But for the duration, it was a mess. Stanford has one of the most beautiful campuses I've ever seen. On the other hand, it doesn't have the urban environment so important to some students. And that line of Royal Palms along the entrance road might make you feel a bit elitist.
But even if you could afford the cost of visiting several schools, you probably don't have the time. That's why I'm sharing my visits with you. In my more than 20 years as an admission consultant, I've visited well over a hundred law schools. Some of them I've only seen once, while others I have visited many times. Being the opinionated person that I am, it will be impossible for me to be totally value-neutral in my report; rather, I will admit my prejudices in the hope that you can factor them out when reading my reviews.
